Coastguard Sumner

In collaboration with Canterbury Air Patrol, Coastguard Sumner are investigating and trialing the use of drone for Search and Rescue (SAR). As part of the evaluation of the areas that CGS responds to, Proform Group mapped the Scarborough to Breezes Bay coastline and created this 3D model to be used for planning and training purposes. As the model incorporates land own and/or managed by Christchurch City Council, the Department of Conservation, Environment Canterbury, and others, this model has been made public to help share the data.
