Recently, we updated the website to version 4.10.0, bringing numerous changes to the platform in the form of new functionality, an improved user experience, and bug fixes.
Most of the changes have occurred in the Upload process and Project Workspace.

New Features

Improved Upload Process – The upload page has been simplified, and uploads should now be faster for everyone.

Updated Details Editor – Asset and project details can now be accessed and edited from a dedicated side menu in the Asset or Project Workspace.

Asset Management – The Project Workspace’s project assets have been redesigned. You can now import as many assets as you want into a project, organize them into folders, and compare the assets in various ways.

Layers in Annotation List – You can now create layers in the Annotation List within the Project Workspace. This allows for simplified organization of large numbers of annotations.

Improved Reporting of Asset Processing Errors – We have added many more specific error messages to help you identify what might have gone wrong when uploading an asset. Previously, the system simply stated that an error occurred. The new system allows us to continually add new error messages to further inform you about potential issues with your uploaded files.

EPSG Coordinate Systems for Display – In the Project Workspace, you can now set the displayed coordinate system for all GIS information displayed by the available tools.

Changes

Updated Asset Upload Workflow – The upload process has been streamlined. Only a minimal amount of information is necessary on the upload page; the rest of the asset details can be accessed from a dedicated side menu.

Asset “Publish Status” – Assets now have a publish status. New assets are set to “Draft” status and can be changed to a “Published” status when the user decides the asset is ready to be shared.

Map Imagery Provider – We have switched from the Bing Maps image provider for map layers to Google Images.

Bug Fixes – Numerous bugs were patched.
