When generating an ortho-photo using Reality Capture for compatibility with the Construkted Reality platform, it is crucial to follow all necessary steps—particularly one that is often overlooked.

To begin, ensure you are following the official ortho-photo generation guide provided by Reality Capture.

A commonly missed step is setting the correct coordinate system for the ortho-photo.

Setting the Coordinate System

Before rendering your ortho-photo, confirm that the correct coordinate system is configured. If you have already created the ortho-photo without this step, you will need to revisit the settings and re-render the ortho-photo.

1. Open the “Ortho Projection Tool” controls and expand the Info section.

2. Within the expanded Info section, locate the Coordinate System option and click the ellipsis (three dots).

3. In the window that appears, select WGS 84 (EPSG:4326) as the coordinate system.

You can now Render the ortho photo, and export it.

Once these steps are completed, you can proceed to render and export the ortho-photo.

Upload to Construkted Reality

When uploading the ortho-photo to Construkted Reality, be sure to select the Orthomosaic option on the upload page. This ensures the platform accurately interprets the file.
